Tyrion gets captured by the Stark kingdom. Catelyn is the one who put him under arrest. Lysa gets irritated by Tyrion's sarcastic tongue and his arrogance and was ready to kill him on site. Tyrion bribes Mord to do a favor for him, which was send word to Catelyn so he can plead his innocence. It all was a spontaneous idea... just a way for him to get out of the open dungeon. He soon realizes that there isn't any mercy around him when he talks with Lysa about getting a fair trial. Overall, everyone's skeptical of him because they know he likes to play mind games to get his way. It seems like it was helping him thus far.
I chose this section because Tyrion is becoming a big part of the reading and he ties two powerful families together, since he's apart of the Lannister kingdom. The Lannisters are very powerful and he's hoping that his connection within will persuade everyone not to kill him. The thing I liked about this section was how it shows that the idea of money can open new possibilities for someone in this book. Everyone see's that money ultimately brings power. A discussion it introduces to the class is the connection of a community.
