On chapter one was about Gared being killed by the Lord of winter. When he took off from the other. Witch was Will and Ser Waymar. Ser Waymar was killed by the other, which were the ghost in the area they were guarding. Will got kill by Ser Waynmar when his spirit raised up to where Will was hiding on top of the three. Gared got away but when he came back to the Lord of winter Ned, he executed Gared for running away from the other and didn’t wanted to fight and help the other.

I like this chapter because of how it start out strong with violence and that’s the type of things I like reading about. My thought about this is how the Ned killed Gared for being lazy and not being able to help other while they need it his help. The Ned doesn’t him scared while he executed him. He saw no shame in him. Ned killing Gared was letting other known not to let other die by their own but fight until the end because Ned wasn't raised like that. He was thought to fight until the end. I can see myself being like Ned not carrying about how it ended but fight with the other until the end. this open the story of the book also by the kingdom starting to destroyed when Catelyn told Ned that Robert got kill his old best friend that help him when he was a kid and fought with him.
