Jon Snow

Within in this chapter the book introduces Jon Snow the illegitimate child of Eddard Stark and knows as the Bastard Child that he brought back from war from another woman. During this chapter Jon wants to join the group called the Nites Watch but is looked down on because he isn’t full blood to the family. Even though he is treated poorly he still is there for his family. His uncle Benjen thinks he would never make it. But as Jon said his good byes to his brother Bran who was very ill after his fall Catelyn Eddard’s wife tells him to leave just because she can’t stand to even look at him. Then later he gives Arya a sword as a present before he leaves. It seemed to me that Jon is a good guy but never given a real chance until now just because he was only half blood. This book stood out to me because I think Jon is a very strong person to deal with the hate day in and day out without being accepted. Even through the stories he is always treated as an outsider. It goes to show that even people will judge you from where you came from regardless if you are a good person.
