Daenerys's chapter (3)

I choose Daenerys's chapter (3.)  In this chapter it talks about how Viserys prepares his sister for a night feast where she will meet Dorgo.  Her brother is forcing her to marry Dorgo because he has a massive army and Viserys wants to take over Westereos.  Although, Daenaerys is confused about where home is, her brother assures her that home is in Westereos.

I believe that this chapter is important because it shows how woman do not have much say.  How other people arrange marriages and the peer pressure these women go through when it comes to marriage or making any sort of decisions within their life.  We are also able to see that women are not treated equally as men are because of the lack of decision making there is.  Marrying someone is a commitment and a big step in life.  However, they seem okay to just let siblings marry someone who is probably is not good for them but a best interest for the family to get revenge on someone or something.

The reason I chose this chapter was because I feel like it is wrong to arrange someone's married.  Everyone is equal and should be treated equal because we are all human beings. Our happiness should not have to depend on race, gender, height, what we eat, or where we come from but within who makes us happy.  However, sometimes family knows us better than we know our selves.  I believe in arranging marriages only when it has to do with a cultural believe.

This chapter introduces how women get treated (as explained on second paragraph.) It also introduces inter-cultural marriage because Dorgo is wealthy and Daenerys has been gone from host to host.  Even though she lives at a nice big house with Illyrio, she does not remember much about her childhood.  If she does not remember much of her childhood the things that she says to do remember like "the big house" she lived us might not be very accurate.
