In the beginning of this chapter Dany had witnessed a city with no walls and building. Wondering what is the whole point of putting a wall when their is nothing surround it. Days ago Dany and Visery had got into a fight and she left Visery to travel on his feet. The Dorthraski were mocking Visery. Drogo offered Visery to go to the cart, where the crippled, old and young had stayed at but he is unaware of it. The whole crew were heading to find their homeland which is underneath the mountain. They come across a black dragon statue, Dany was memorized by the beauty. Visery had a different point of view from Dany, he thought the city is filthy and trashy. Dany made sure no one heard Visery's negative comments about the city. One of the knights had warn Dany about her brother's selfishness and the fact that he doesn't belong to the khal. Visery wants ten thousand men from Drogo but Drogo thought Dany was a gift. Visery is growing impatient that he doesn't have his men yet. Khals offer gifts but if Visery demands it, the aftermath wouldn't be good. Ser Jorah tells Dany about the history of the lost city, that city was built by slaves. Visery is upset, he questioning his sister about the supper situation. He starts threatening her, even though she was trying to help her brother. She grabbed a belt and whacked Visery in the face.
This chapter is important because Dany is standing up to her brother. Visery is a negative and selfish brat. He deserved to be whack in the face because Dany was trying to help. He didn't like the offered that Dany had given him.
