Ned Stark

In this chapter, Ned is considering whether or not to actually confessing "the truth" to keep Sansa safe, or to stand firm with what Ned knows to be true. Ned is also visited by Varys, and Varys tells him he does not work for Cersei or anyone else but that he works for the good of the realm.

I thought this chapter was interesting because of how Ned had to think about what to do to be able to keep his honor. To me, it showed how much he cared for Sansa, with him not wanting to hurt her with his decision. It reminded me of how he was trying to get them out of King's Landing before all that went down.  I thought it was interesting how in that situation Ned was going to have the girls be taken by ship instead of the road because he sees just how dangerous the road will be. I also thought it was interesting that Sansa and Arya both ended up watching their father be executed, like how in the beginning Jon told Bran not to shut his eyes. It was also interesting that Arya was willing to go into the crowd with Needle to try and keep her father safe.
