In this chapter Arya has been hiding in King's Landing. She follows people towards the Great Sept of Baelor. She hears rumors about her father. In Great Sept, Ned is brought to kneel to Joff and confess about being a traitor towards him. After he confesses the high priest suggests that Joff would show mercy for Ned. Joff orders Ned to be executed. Varys and Cersi appear to be surprise so they try to stop him. Arya tries to help her father but they stop her and she sees her father's head being chopped off with ice. Arya gets dragged away from the scene. She ends up getting a hair cut from Yoren and now, she has to pretend she is a boy.
I honestly enjoyed this chapter because it shows that family is suppose to stick together. I honestly think that it is hard that people have to try to be someone else to please others. I think this chapter shows that in the mid evil life women are not a big part of society. They are only viewed as a way of reproducing. This shows that people see potential in Arya so they try to help her by telling her to switch genders.
